Project Information

Retirement, the summer, and clean, fresh air….doesn't get any better. Picked up the Redheart turning block, (3×3 x 12), for a whopping $2.00!! I don't turn wood so I'll resaw it into workable strips for my needs.

Woods: Eucalyptus, Ash, Poplar, Purpleheart, Redheart and Red Grandis.

Backer board: Birch plywood.

Frame: Enameled Maple.

Finish: Gloss lacquer.

Really like the alternating use of colors, both in the individual 1/8 size pieces and the piece as a whole.
You've given me some ideas for some upcoming projects!

Nice. It looks like a quilt pattern. My wife, who is a serious quilter, would love it.
