Project Information

Last week was stressful at my day job and this week looks like its going to be twice as bad, so being the good LJ I headed out to the shop. I have been trying to think of what I can do with some Walnut I picked up on TN the last time I was out there. I was given some Walnut and Cherry from my brother and our friend Pyromedic (Bubba). A candle holder has been bouncing around in my head for a few days and when I cleaned up a few days. After I ran a few board from the planer, I just started cutting an this is what I came up with. It only has one coat of Oil/Poly blend.

Here are a few extra pictures of it lit.

Thanks all.

Karson, I think I will. There are a couple of small things I'll probably pick up. Nothing big this year, I don't have any more room. I would have to clean before I get anything else in :)

I said if before and I state it again. You guys are too good for me. I guess I will stay with building things with pasta. At least I can eat what doesn't come out good. Fine job there me lad.

Looks great Greg. I am glad to finally see a finished product from that wood mine is still in the finisning stage. Just make sure to double check the moisture in the boards I have had some panels cup on me from the wood still being to moist on glue up. Looks like I will be purchasing a meter before to long.

Greg,
I know it's been awhile since you posted this, but I was looking around the projects and saw your candle holder and I was trying to come up with something similar to make for some craft shows. I'm having trouble getting the thing looking right. Can you tell me what dimensions you used? Particularly the length, width and what size candles. I can adjust for the candles I have and the bit I have.
Thanks,
