Project Information

daughter wanted a "ladder" to hang either towels or small, fancy blankets on…...and seemed to want it to stand about 4' tall…..

Lumber is Ash. Wedged through tenons have Rosewood wedges. Treads/rungs have 3 beads running across their top….like the old style wood ladders had. Top of the sides have a round profile. All sharp edges have been rounded over….Feet of the ladder were cut at 12 degrees. Sides of the ladder splay out at 12 degrees…..yet the treads will sit parallel to the floor…..made for a tricky through mortise…

Stanley #45 to make the treads' details…..

Ash was given a stain, and a coat of clear gloss poly….

From all reports..Daughter LIKED it…

thanks for looking.

Just a simple, little ladder….

Neat job bandit...

Some zealots may say it's the stairway to heaven, however, I say its a means to get to the top shelf!
