Project Information

A wall in juniper t and g siding pre-existed. We decided to echo that feel with credenzas, used to divide these offices in a relatively open plan, and the privacy panel, which actually is just an aesthetic cover for a phalanx of legal size file cabinets.

Only half the credenzas are shown. They were built as four identical 72" units, for future flexibility. The laminate top was essential because of the proliferation of potted flora as part of the decora.

Of note here is the use of cherry for the self edge on the laminate tops. No juniper will be clear enough or hard enough for that application, and I was pleased with the outcome, colorwise, with the cherry.

The panel layout was planned so there was ample stock at the end of the run to rip mirrored miters in the last piece and "wrap" the board around the corner. This shows in the picture of the taller panel.

Finish is UV resistant water base polyurethane. The credenzas and the panel are identical in color-some external reflectance diddled with the image.

Pretty swanky cubicles. I also like the shelving units under the window.
