Project Information
Since we've been working on the 56' schooner I've realized that I did not enjoy carrying several different tool bags/boxes up and down the ladder just to use a select few tools. Depending on the day, I may not use certain tools. So, I decided to make a tool tray that I can load or unload easy each day. As we have a large selection of Sapele off cuts laying around the boat shop, the choice for material was easy. I joined all the pieces with box joints and then secured them with copper rim shank nails. It works great, and has certainly made my trip up and down the ladder much easier.
