"JJJ" bed

Nice solid looking bed. Where do you find Tasmanian Oak? I really like the strips on the end board and how you framed them in with the thicker boards. What did you finish it with?

@earls Thanks! Tas Oak/Vic Ash grow natively where I am, so its the 'standard'/cheapest hardwood available in good lengths Local timber merchant always has stacks of it.

The panels are pre-laminated "kitchen benchtop" thats sold at the local bigbox store. It actually works out fairly economical for the butcherblock look. It comes in 1800×600x26, which was cut down to ~1500×600x11.

Finished with Organoil brand Danish Oil, which is closer to Tung Oil than 'regular' danish oil as it doesn't contain any polyurethane/varnish, then a spit coat or two of blonde shellac.

Realy beautiful bed. I like the way you made slots for crossed beams.

This bed turned out nicely. Congratulations.
