Very nicely done, Boris!
Flower is still very grateful to the motive, and you did it particularly fine and prettily!

Sweet looking box. You did a really nice job with the marquetry.

I would like to know how you did the bracketed feet. They are exceptional.

Thanks for posting.

Very nice Boris.
You found some very nice and very green Poplar. .... Good score, it looks great in the motif.
All around nice piece. I like the box and the marquetry suits it perfectly.
It's so nice when you can get by without using dyed veneers.

That marquetry is really nice, good job. Wish I could do those kind of details in my work. What marquetry technique do you use?

Boris, words cannot express my admiration for your talented work … Also hinges that you have chosen compliment your rich woods and the fine work … My hat is off to you my friend

Here is how The old Grump makes feet like that:
I will use a strip of 1/2 or 3/8 inch thick material about 3/4 to 1 inch wide.
put it on the router table with a cove bit installed.
Run the long grain on one side, then do both end grains.
If you have used 3/4" wide stock cut 3/4" off so that the foot is square … now cut off the other end and you have two feet … repeat the process on the end grains and you will have four feet.

The marquetry is very beautiful. Is there a template for this? The walnut and birdseye maple are an excellent background.

I used my router table and a cove bit then the scroll saw to cut the profile pretty much like grumpy mike described it

Boris, exceptional work on the box, but especially on the marquetry. I would love to be able to do marquetry like that.
