Project Information

I really liked this LJ Project so I tried to imitate it (thanks for the inspiration kdc68). I think its very clever and practical how he has the trays slide around on the 2nd level.

I also came across a piece of spalted birch which was fun; I've never used wood like that before.

Box is splated birch finished with poly; trays and dividers are cherry finished with Danish oil.

And the felt is actually navy blue but comes out purple in the picture, to my chagrin.

Thanks for looking.

Super work. The birch has alot of character, so of course it should be a box.

You made a spline jig on an angle? Nice touch

Thanks, its actually pretty easy, just tilt the saw blade by 15 degrees or so and run through in the normal way.

I haven't been looking at Lumberjock's apparently. I missed another box of yours.
Great job on this! The wood is beautiful!
I appreciate the mention! Glad to be an inspiration to another woodworker. It tells me I must be doing something right !
