This is my 2nd jewelry box - commissioned by my brother for his wife's birthday.
Body: Cherry
Drawer fronts: Mahogany
Knobs & Escutcheon: Ebony
Solid brass hinges and lock.
This is a custom piece I modeled after a picture of a dresser. There is a slight curve to the front of the box, though it's hard to see it in the pics.
I finished with coats of Platina, Garnet (only on drawer fronts) and waxy Amber Shellac buffed to a satin finish.
