Project Information

Dear LJ's,

I would like to share with you my latest piece. I do apologize for the poor light used to take the pictures.

- // -

Jewellery Box, common cherry structure (Prunus avium, Portugal), spalted common plane lid and internal dividers (Platanus x hybrida, Portugal) and ebony handle (Diospyros crassiflora, Gaboon)

I hope you enjoy.

Kind regards,

PJ

Nice looking box. The lid is very similar to Quarter Sawn Sycamore that we have in the US. Interesting stuff.

Beautiful wood. I agree with Shane: that looks just like American sycamore. Quartersawn on the top and flatsawn on the sides. One of my very favorite wood species.
