Here is my updated shop tour as of February, 2018:

This shop is approximately 550 square feet. The DC mains are 6" and drop-down tool connections are 4". The iVAC Automated Dust Collection System controls most of the blast gates. I have it connected to my table saw, band saw, router table, jointer and planer - no more forgetting to open/close a blast gate on these units. The other gates are manual but the DC is operated with an iVAC remote.

As this shop is located next to a recr room in our home I need to keep it clean so as not to drag sawdust into the living space. The DC system, wall vacuum and CT-26 make the task pretty easy.

But, lathe work waits until nicer weather when I can take it outside. Round in the summer, square in in the winter!

Thanks for looking!

Wow Jerry! That is beautiful and your dust collection duct looks fantastic…no 90's, short runs of flex, everything nicely secured…Perfect!

My wife would kill me if I left all my shop tools in the living room like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very well organized. Congratulations on your new work space. It looks great and should make your work that much more enjoyable.

Thanks for sharing. I hope to build my own shop soon and you have given me something to think about.

Hey Jerry,

You really outdid yourself this time. Your shop is next to godliness. It must be a real pleasure to start your day with a stroll down to the basement, coffee in hand, and start creating something beautiful in such a great environment. Kudos buddy.

Beautiful shop Jerry! Almost too nice to cut board in. Maybe a couple of wing back chairs and a bottle of scotch to just sit and admire everything :) Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your kind comment. It took a bit to get comfortable to "make a mess" in there, but the nice part is that it's very easy to keep clean. The flooring is an extremely hard surface and easy to vacuum up.
