Project Information

Had fun building just one more VW.

On my blog I took this from the idea, to making a plan and showing step by step how I build a scratch built model.

It all started with this picture.

Realy fine car. It realy takes a gut to decide to make a wooden vehicle. I don't have it.

That was one helluva great blog(sss) #4 describing the build, plan planning, sanding and how your missus is better than mine (for all you one eyed LJ'ers that refuse to stray from the stables… that's another story… and you'll never know… at least not from me).

It is a shame the stats for the blogs cannot be accumulated against the project and get the recognition it rightly deserves… I reckon many woddies have picked up some great ideas from teacher #4...

Now for the mandatory however… If you used #4 in the logo/name-plate instead of HTL... it would have fitted better…! Alternatively… get a lower case router (htl).. shorter text (alternative alternative… learn to kern)!

PS. How'd you get those other coloured VW's into your lounge… did mum give permission?

nice looking THING, the seats and wheels are the greatest. Building from a picture is the way to go.

Hey majuvla, drink some beer… you may not be able to make wooden vehicles but you'll have the gut!

Seriously bud, I've seen some of your work and you are more than capable… not taking anything away from the accomplished toy builders here, with the right plans and slow approach you might (sorry will) surprise yourself. No I won't say it's easy… but nor is opening a beer bottle without a bottle opener… but we somehow manage to do it!

The only requirement/qualification is… a want to do it… the rest just gets easier as you progress!

Sorry #4, for the soap boxing on your blog…
