Workshop Information

Location
United States
I built my workshop which is about 13'x24' with stud construction and scissor truss roof framing. Being a metal building contractor, I used metal siding and Butler standing seam roofing with insulation. My wife did not want an "ugly shed" in our beautiful back yard so I made the shop attractive, at least I think so and my wife and visitors love it. The green roof fits in well. Of course as I grow into it an expansion is in my mind….

I agree with Splinterman about the pictures. How about posting some when you get the chance? Tours of other shops are always a well received post.

I have a bunch of pictures to upload but had to figure out how to reduce the file size to under 3MB - did that with Picasa so I'll get some uploaded soon.

Nice shop… I think you hit a home run with the outside and inside.
Thanks for the tour.

Michael, this is certainly a nice shop that you have to work in. It is clean, efficent and well organized. The windows admit a ton of natural light and what is not to like about your location. You have some nice tools to play with as well. I would enjoy working in there.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting your shop.

Great looking shop. This is probably a nieve question (never seen a workshop on an island before) how do you get power for the power tools? A local diesel generator?
