Project Information

Is it an Aussie Ute or an American Pickup?

The local shop asked me for a few more toys, specially a UTE, well that's what we call "pickup's" downunder.

About 8" [200mm[ long by 4.5" [120mm] wide made from offcuts and reclaimed timber.

Good strong playable toy with enough detail to be interesting.

The wheels are shop bought as are the furniture button taillights.

The headlights are Tassie Oak dowels with a forstner hole secured with a dowel into the front mudguard.

The finish is 3 coats of my homemade wipe-on-poly.

Both Papa Smurf and Handy Smurf approved of the vehicles.

Thank you one and all for the supporting encouragement along with your kind words.
For me they seem to take longer than I think they should as I'm only working shorter stints in the shed a present, everything hurts too much.

You need to open a car lot, "Friendly Crowie's" 8^)

Look like they were over built like the good old days, no darn unibody construction or hybrid battery packs there!
