This is a frame I made to celebrate my son's college graduation.
Overall is about 19" x 15.5" from 7/8" Walnut inlaid with maple and padauk. I had to make a new shooting board to get the miters to fit, each corner is splined. Finished with 4 coats of shellac and paste wax applied with 0000 steel wool.
As is typical, I have way too much time into this project but I like the way it came out, simple, substantial, a nice compliment to his diploma and something I hope he is happy to hang on the wall for years to come. Thanks for looking.
