Project Information

These are a few round cheese boards using the multi generation lamination scheme…
The first is sapelle mahogany with a hoop pine accent..
Second is virgin hoop pin with purple heart and narra stripes and narra edges…
Third is narra with purple heart and hoop pine…
Fourth is same as the third but different..
Fifth photo is three boards and three oil burners just about to be picked up by their new owner..
Last pic is a teaser of Queensland Red Cedar…. no stripe…
I will be doing a separate blog on the second board with the alternating stripes…

Edit… blog is here...

Larry, I like the way the design zip's thru the board and spreads out on the edge. Nice idea! I still am amazed with the oil burners. My wife loves to soak in the bathtub with candles. I will have to make her one.

Nice work Larry! These give me the feeling of a sothwestern US flair. I love the new designs and the presumed extra time spent is worth it!

Hi Larry,
Since you've done a double cut process, I am suggesting tripple cut from different boards and join them together. I am enjoying a lot just looking at the geometrical figures you produce from this process. Thanks,

Considering the precision and accuracy required to do something like these, you did a wonderful job, Larry. I admire your skill as mostly a wood carver, I have nt yet mastered that level of accuracy. Super job!!!!!
