Project Information

Just completed the spline cutting sled for my table saw and needed a project to try it out on. I also needed to clear the clutter off my desk. So these In-Out trays just fit the bill. The top tray is stationary and the two bottom trays slide in and out. Walnut and Maple with a shellac finish. Now I just need to get that mess on my desk organized.

Those look nice. I'd say the new jig is a success.
A little marquetry would really spruce them up. :)

Your right Paul and I thought about some marquetry but then decided to just get them done quickly. Maybe the next time. I am already working on a couple other marquetry projects and not finding the time to get them finished. My wife says I live in the projects.

Gorgeous project John! The ambrosia maple (or spalted?) with the walnut looks fabulous. The splines and all the joinery look great.

John, great project. This is why I love this web site I get so many great ideas for new projects. Often what I end up making is different from any one project but I truly have to give a lot of the credit to others who sent me in a direction with their project. Keep up the great ideas.
