Project Information

I have been having a lot of fun with these turnings/carvings lately. The first vase is maple and bloodwood, the other two are maple, oak, walnut and cherry. They are finished with wipe on poly. I think next is to try it with a segmented turning. Should be fun, if it doesn't explode in my face… because that would make it awesome.

I can't imagine how those are made. They are fascinating! Are there any videos available?

So cool, I love it, I'll love it more when I figure out how it's done. That's going to keep me up for awhile working this out in my brain.

Some great looking melted pots, they are awesome. Really like the mmix and choices of woods used in them and you can stay stuck on them for as long as you like, I all ways enjoy looking at them…keep them coming.

These are pretty cool looking.
My thoughts about how they are made, could be totally wrong?
Wood pcs are glued up
Blank is turned on the lathe
Vessel is band sawed into wavey layers,
each layer is sculpted with sander/grinder/whatever…
Layers are glues back together ??

However you made them they are cool and unique.
