I made this table for my family's Christmas party this year. We do a Yankee Swap, so each person brings one item, and people have to ability to "steal" gifts from each other. (If not familiar with a Yankee Swap I can give more details later in the comments, as its not needed for the project description)
It features a fretwork front with a floral pattern and a hummingbird in the center. The tabletop is 14" x 14", and the table stands just about 26" tall. This is the first project I have done that required mitering the corners, and my miters did not come out perfect, but pretty close. It is made from aspine, which is what gives it such a near white appearance. I made it from aspine so it would have a light color, that way the person who ended up with it in the swap could easily stain or paint it to match their decor.
This was made using a table saw, a large scroll saw (1940's saw, used to cut the legs), and a normal scroll saw (16" Craftsman used for the fretwork), and a router (to give a decorative edge on the tabletop).
