Project Information
I picked up a couple of basswood plates from Michaels when they were on clearance. This summer I downloaded one of Sheila Landry's designs that I found from Steve Good's scrollsaw blog. The design pictured is what I finally got around to carving. This is my first adventure in carving basswood, and I really like how the chisels move through the wood. I gave the basswood a coat of Minwax Cherry varnish. You can see the results above. Please see my blog for more on this project.
