Project Information

Hi,I Had to make improvements to this saw as it was frustrating me to he'll with its crappy fence and Riving knife/guard so its had a makeover with a new fence reworked riving knife, new guard position, pedestal, extraction, and side extension.

I made the stand out of pallet wood and added castors the the back leg added a dust collection bucket that's attached to my extractor

I made the fence using 50 mm Aluminium angle running in a channel, the fence is out of Oak and faced it with Melamine.

I cut the riving knife guard holder off with a grinder and smoothed it into a nice curve and repositioned the guard on an extendible arm also I made a sliding adjustable 5 position guard hight steady out off a piece of scrap plywood

II fixed channels on the saw body and added a sliding side extension I have a small workshop so i had to have as small a footprint for my saw as possible.

Although I have gone trough all the steps you can get a more comprehensive view of my table saw in the video below.

Very well done, but you don make my life easier. :D
I thought a long time to buy a good quality circular handsaw and use it as a base for a tablesaw build. Now I see, that buying a tablesaw on my budget (which could only be crappy) could give an acceptable result too after some tuning.
