Project Information

"I would like for you to build a rough table with metal legs for my restaurant" the owner of the restaurant says to me. I respond with, "Sure!"

I begin the build and everything is going well until I find out "how rough" the costumer wants the table to look. I took the challenge as I really don't like making my tables this rough but that's what he wanted. I was in the restaurant this passed Sunday and was at the counter when a group of people who were sitting at the table got my attention and said they really liked it - hope you do too. The top and sides are all reclaimed aged pine from the upstairs renovation of the building the restaurant is now in and the design for the legs and attachments were all welded with reclaim items at my local metal supplier…aka…father in law. Let me know what you think.

That is one great table. It looks like it would fit in any old world tavern. I love it.

Hello Jonk,
It does in fact look like one great table, and along with your other projects too.

I was impressed with your work and went looking for your location (home tab) and workshop and that sort of stuff but I was disappointed to find nothing, oh well.

The table looks nice to me and if that's what the customer wants I don't see anything wrong with making it the way the customer likes. Congratulations.

I like it and the best advise for finding things out; also applies to woodworkers that market!
