Too bad, but I didn't really learn how to combine glass yet… . My first attempt was so-so…

For your first effort you were expecting what . . . something worth of publication in a museum catalog? I don't see it as childish. I see it more as folk art. And if at first you don't succeed, yada, yada, yada. Or . . . lower your expectations. You'd probably have more success with the first option.
