Completed towards end of '07. My final project for college(PA College of Technology).
Solid Red Oak, Aromatic Red Cedar lined, Brass Hardware, Mortise and Tenon/Raised Panel construction… all around, Solid Bracket Feet across the front and on the sides, Two Drawers hand dovetailed, Solid Top with Breadboard Ends/Through Tenons, Fluted Corner Appliqués and Moldings, Sanding Sealer/Cherry Stain/Wipe-On Poly….
We were required to think up, design/draw, dimension, and build anything we wanted limited only to the Bd. Ft. of lumber we used. I went over the allowable limit of lumber, probably twicefold… making it hard for me to complete the project in the time allowed. ...I did eventually complete it after graduation at home, and I think it turned out well(considering having designed and custom made everything from scratch in a hurry).
It's VERY HEAVY
