This is a small bowl I made from a Holly tree downed in the storms of 2004 in Florida. The Mahogany is from a board I have had in the shop for many years, but originally was obtained from a boat builder. The bowl measures 5 3/4 inches in diameter at its widest point by 4 1/4 inches high. The bowl is finished with lacquer. The size and shape of the bowl was mostly determined by large cracks n the bottom of the bowl blank, but I am pleased with the result.
