Project Information

Well I finally got tired of tripping and knocking over my clamps in my woodshop. As mentioned before, I'm happy to have a woodshop, but like MOST Lumberjocks I wish it was bigger!

I noticed this rack somewhere on this site and had to build this. I used scrap pine and knocked it out in 2 hrs on Sunday before Football. Wasn't looking to have it look like it could go in my house just quick and effective.

So far I have 30 clamps on it with some more room as I keep buying the Jet clamps that I love. Used extra hinges to eliminate sag and mounted it to the studs. well its seems to be getting full with clamps time to build another one,

Hope you like it!

Good timing, I just inherited several pipe clamps. My project in the near future was to make a new rack. Thanks for the motivation. Nice job!

The first swing out I ended up putting on 3 hinges for the weight. With 2 hinges it made me think how did I build this out of square?, (then the "Duh Dummy" moment kicks in) & I realize it is sagging. The extra hinge squared it up perfectly. 2 hinges on the outside one. Thx friends.

PS… I again reminded why I do not like pine way to soft! Even with pre-drilling, I got one or two cracks….
Thx Gentlemen

They were clearing them out from Rockler and 1/2 off. $32.99 each instead of $65.99 I bought 6. There some of the best clamps I have ever used but pricey. There very heavy but you can really clamp down on these babies! I wish I had bought more while they were left in the store. Hope this helps.
