You have a face frame, with the raised panel door inside of it.

I won't be Dennis
I was just talking to Rick about covering our living room walls with the rough-hewn pine that we got. Ok.. smoothed perhaps, but still the rustic pine look.
Maybe something like your house, Dennis!! I'd love it.

I was talking to a friend last week about home decorating and we talked about how we really wanted our homes to look one way but when we start putting things into it they turn out to be a totally different style. She wanted rustic and ended up with modern. I like modern but am ending up with rustic.
We might "admire" the look of a style; we might even "love" it.. but in the end, there is an underlying connection with something else. I'm just a country girl through and through. Give me old, give me rustic, give me comfy cozy any day.
Last week I took down a beautiful mirror and hung up this old mirror from Rick's home. It was painted a light blue and has white paint dripping down the sides, and some spots where something has been dripped on it, removing the paint (It had sat by the laundry tubs for decades.) I love this mirror!!!

How did you make those walnut panels Obi? They look larger than you would get on a router.

Is that a walnut frame and panel inside another hickory frame?

Now all of those early statements aren't going to make sense to anyone who is new to this. They'll think "What are they talking about upside down?"

This is taking extra long because I:
1) Have to make all of the drawers out of 1/2" Hickory, dovetailed and dadoed.
2) Have to glue all the 1/2" hickory together because none of it was wide enough.

Maybe this will be good enough for the Summer Competition

That's what i thought about the winter competition until all the finalists showed up with their fancy inlays and unheard of curly quilted woods…

I can't compete with that.
