Project Information

Tops, faceframe, doors, & drawer fronts are all solid hickory. Sides, backs, and shelves are cabinet grade hickory plywood (3/4 for sides and shelves, 1/4 for back). Finished with oil based stain (can't remember the name…had the word "vintage" in it, though…ha ha) and waterbased polyurethane. Used hammered pewter ring pulls…probably some Amerock drawer slides and some Blum eurohinges if my memory serves me correctly. (It's been a good decade.)

Hindsight's 20/20, but looking at this picture I wished I would've pre-treated the 1/4" ply I used for the panel door…or sanded it to a finer grit. It took the stain pretty splotchily. (Is that a word?)

Looks good from my house but a Strat and an SG co-inhabiting the same space?? It's madness!

That looks fantastic. Where did you find Hickory plywood? (and do they ship to Texas?)
