This is my new shop, it is a 40' X 60' pole building 10 ft. high on the inside to clear the top of my tractor with a 6", 1/2 rebar reinforced concrete floor and a 200 amp service, and 16 eight foot lights and a 12X12 sliding doors on each end. This picture was a very cold day in Dec. 10 degrees above 0. I had the time on my side so I waited 4 mo. before putting anything in the shop on the floor , I have always heard that there is two kinds of concrete floors, those that are cracked and those that will be cracked. I was going to keep it simple and not have much of a woodworking shop, but that didn't work out, My first machine was the Craftsman Pro. 10" table saw (it is for sale). The other machines I bought at the IWF 2008, I like big band saws/resaws this one is 24" and works like a dream this is the third one I have had, not all the same make, I had a woodmizer sawmill and the resaw made it easy to resize stock. The planer is a 20" with a spiral cutter head and the jointer 8" x 76" G0490 has the parallelogram table & spiral cutter head. The only thing I didn't like about these machines was the grease that was packed in every part and some was almost imposible to remove with out taken them complete apart which was a good thing for me, I like to see how things are machined and put together.

Daniel, what a nice shop space you have to work in. It is spacious, has plenty of headroom and you have some really nice tools in there. Especially the bandsaw which looks as if it is a wonderful tool to use. And I really like the fact that you have the ability to mill your own lumber. I have always thought that would a wonderful thing to do.

You have a really nice shop. I would enjoy working in there.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting with you.

Hi sandhill sorry it took me so long to get back to this, I have been doing some end of the year stuff and doing it over the phone is not fun to me…I am a face to face person, I see what I don't hear in peoples faces. You have lots of great tools , I would guess you can go in the shop with the lights out and find anything I have as long as I keep the DOOR LOCKED…lol …I really don't have anyone to worry about except me, the older I get the less I remember..and my father told me one time" it won't get any better either" He was a good frend as well as a good father, I miss him! he would walk around in the shop and just touch stuff and smile..guess he knew something I didn't..
I have a sister down and out from Ft. Meyers on a Island,,,,PineIsland and she is in St.James City Fl. its to hot for me as I am a mountain person..
OK have a nice day and go see my sister…lol someone needs to!
