Project Information

Solid birch headboard and footboard for a three-quarter bed. Frame and panel construction using 1 1/2" thick frame pieces. Raised panel is 3/4" thick. Grain uniformity achieved by using wide boards so that no edge gluing of boards was necessary except for the panels. Rails are joined to the legs using mortise and tenon joinery. The flower appliqués are store bought. 50" wide x 32"/40" high (footboard/headboard). Custom stained with water based stain (SamaN brand) to match an existing dresser, followed by a sealcoat of shellac followed by a couple coats of sprayed waterborne lacquer.

I got them at my local Home Depot. Here's a link to the item on their Canadian website: http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?D=970450&Ntt=970450&catalogId=10051&langId=-15&storeId=10051&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntx=mode+matchall&recN=0&N=0&Ntk=P_PartNumber.

It is made by Ornamental Mouldings and you can find it (item 13640) in their catalog: http://www.ornamentalmouldings.com/User/Literature/6.pdf.

Your profile does not say where you are from so hopefully this is helpful.
