I will definitely post pics as soon as set up is on it's way! The sapce seems so small already and I have no equipment in yet!!!

This will definitely be an exercise in mobile cabinets; multi-function work areas; and maybe (not by choice) some tools not being unpacked!

sounds like a plan. I like the idea of the resonating strips and 2nd drywall - I was planing to do a similar thing if we got a place with an attached garage. just need to use longer screws to attach anything to the wall.

So I posted a few pics of my 'new' workshop. This is my new garage at my new apartment. As I stated in my workshop posting, I used to have a 800sq ft shop, and now have less than a single bay shop! Oh well, at least I can get my tools unpacked!
So you can see by the pics (wanted to show progress …) that my shop is yet to be set up, however, LOML already has a few items on the Honey-Do-List. Looking forward to making some sawdust!!!

Paul, it looks like you are off to a good start on setting up your shop. I am sure it is going to be a challenge to adjust to downsizing like you have but making your tools mobile is a good start. Good luck on tackling your honey-do list. If it is anything like mine projects seem to be added to the list faster than they come off it. :)

Keep us posted on your shop's progress. It is always interesting to watch a shop's evolution.

Another shop with a motorcycle in the middle - I'm in the same boat-will it be in there all winter? I have also been stuck running a heavy extension cord across the yard and swapping plugs every time I switch tools, and haven't been able to run dust collection so my bike is a mess. I've got the electrician coming next week to take care of that though. Gotta keep the dust off the bike!

I lived in Detroit until a couple of years ago. Good times and good people up there.

I am fortunate enough to have a second single car garage and that stores both my bikes … so I don't have the dust problem.

Dale, you're lucky that you can bring an electrician in and solve that cord issue … I think I'm stuck for a while until I move!
