Project Information

Inspired by a love of swords and with a belief that I could create swords from wood since steel was not an option, I first began by attempting to duplicate an Excalibar-type sword. It was one piece and the result was quite satisfying. Since then, I have increased the detail and authenticity of my swords such that a friend recently asked, " How did you get the leather so evenly wrapped around the handle?" I was proud to remind him that the entire sword was fashioned from wood.

Fantastic! You're truly an artist. Very inspiring to many of us, I'm sure…I know there are alot of folks out there like me who love swords and wish we could make something even remotely close yours.

The details are incredible! These are absolutely beautiful! I haven't graduated from whittling to carving yet, and after seeing these, I think I'll stick to whittling my little birds. That way I won't be forced to compare my carvings to these beauties.

Thanks for sharing!
