I thought your tutorial was excellent. I learned several things from it. I do hope you plan to install some mechanism to prevent the lid from slamming onto little fingers as the lid looks quite heavy. In fact, the whole thing looks quite heavy but very well built. Definitely putting this on my list of projects for the future though I think I may thin the wood to reduce the weight. Overall, well done.

Wrobe - I'm glad that you found some useful knowledge. Learn from everything you do! I do plan on putting some lid supports on but I haven't gotten around to doing so. I have been incredibly busy with non shop related items and just wanted to get the video done. The project has been done for a couple weeks now and I didn't feel like waiting any longer. That chest turned out super. I'm a big fan of half laps as well. That chest will never come apart!
