Stellar job on the build of the H5 Mandola…You do excellent work, and all you mandolins look beautiful…..I built an F5 style mandolin years ago fashioned after the famous F5 Loyd Loar mandolin….It had a curly birds eye maple back and sides, and I bought a piece of 80 year old Sitka spruce from Martin Guitar Co. for the top… Gibson tuners, and a Mahogany neck…..Ebony fingerboard, and a Walnut overlay on the peg head…..That was in 1983, and the only one I ever built….I had a good luthier for a teacher….He died shortly after I built it…..!! I follow your builds and videos just to find out what you're gonna build next…..Thanks for posting the mandola…!!

Thanks Rick, really happy to know you enjoy my videos.. would love to see your F5. As for what is coming up on my channel, I'm currently working on a set of blueprints to make a K4 style MandoCello with apertures instead of a soundhole. I'm really hoping to get the funds needed to get started on this build before next Xmas.. cross fingers.

This mandolin turned out so beautifully. It's a real eye catcher and has a lot of nice craftsmanship in it.
