Nice job! This brings back a distant memory for me. Any 'Old Breed' ex-Marine like me recalls the rifle racks which were a fixture in our stateside barracks, and somewhat similar to this one, but heavier built and painted the dark 'Marine Corps green'. They were made of heavy plywood with a center partition, and notched on top like yours, but also with 'stirrups' for the butts to fit into to keep them all properly aligned. The Marine Corps was always exceedingly fussy about keeping everything strictly 'aligned' and 'dressed', not to mention spotlessly clean. Each Marine was assigned a personal 'T/O" (Table of Organization) weapon according to his job (machine gunners for example carried a .45 pistol as a 'personal weapon') which we were responsible for at all times - in my case first it was an M1 (I said I was Old Breed didn't I?) and then later on an M14 when we changed over. Our racks were never locked since we needed access to clean them in our 'free time'. Thanks for the memory!

Very nicely done-in particular, it looks like the top notches are actually deep enought for high rib trap guns. One of my major grips are shallow top notches that won't even hold the high rib, let alone support the barrel as needed! I shoot a high rib Caesar Guerini and you wouldn't believe the number of inadequate racks out there. Great job for your trap shooters!

P.S. nice anti-sway bracing also.

Gas, I wish I could help, but I do not have any real plans. I just "wing it" based on important dimensions dictated by the customer. In this case overall height and depth of notches. After that I just keep making sawdust till it seems right.

A gun rack? A gun rack. Shyeah, Right! I don't even own a gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do, with a gun rack?

You could Sell it to a local Gun Club.

Take a couple of pictures of it with a Tape Measure stretched across it.
