Project Information

Here finally is the gun cabinet my husband, Darryl started on 2 years ago. Son help put it in place today. The bottom is separate from the top and he made handles to look like a shell using purple heart and turned the ends from brass on his lathe. Darryl made it out of oak and finished with tung oil. Thanks for looking. Sorry for the long picture but it wouldn't load correctly without being fuzzy.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I passed them onto Darryl. Ok,he still has a grin going here. But it does look very nice in the room. a1Jim..Darryl decided he wanted a different look so he made that design in front. I was a bit worried about them getting broke but they aren't as thin as they look. hunter71..yeah I thought the handles were a pretty neat idea to the doors too. For never making something like this Darryl did pretty darn good for his first attempt on a gun cabinet! Tom..I looked at your beautiful cabinets! AWESOME!
Thanks for sharing your comments everyone!
