Some hardwood longboards I've been making and selling lately. The carving actually acts as the griptape so you get to look at the nice carving while you ride! Let me know ya'lls thoughts! Thanks for looking!
Breaking? It's prone to expansion and contraction much more so then breaking. Especially in these cruiser boards, not really made for kickflips and handrails, ya know? I've found that the mahogany especially has amazing flex when your really carving hard.
Really making me want a CNC now. I am trying my hand at a few longboard designs soon too. I have a ton of gorgeous wood at home and I want to see if it will work for a board. I have some walnut, oak, and cottonwood. I might make a solid cottonwood board just to see if it's possible.
And before, I get responses, no I've never made a longboard before. If you've tried a soft wood and it was horrible please let me know. I've seen pine boards do ok though so I thought it might work.
