Project Information

It's been awhile since I last posted a completed project on Lumberjocks, Spring is busy time here in the mid-west.
I just completed an Adirondack Bench from plans i purchased from "The Barley Harvest" (Link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheBarleyHarvest tell him Kelly Fuller sent you ;-) )

The bench seat is 59-1/2 inches wide plenty of room for three with the seat raised high enough you do not have to fall into or crawl out of this bench.
I used cedar for the wood, I think it provides the best durability and colors. I countersunk and plugged all connections and I used Titebond III for extra measure. The finish is Penofin Professional Premium Cedar finish, I think this is the best outdoor finish on the market. My worktable was not wide enough for the bench so I had to improvise by using a full sheet of MDF, that was fun maneuvering by myself ;-)
The first two images were taken after the second coat of Penofin and the third before Penofin.

Nicely done!

Very pretty too!

I am a big fan of cedar for many things too.

I manage to get a lot of free fence cedar cut-offs.

They make wonderful outdoor things!

Here is the picture of the finish I used. I use both the "Clear" and "Cedar".
