I just love high quality children's furnishings. This is so darn cute! Is it a Christmas surprise?

This is intended to be one of a few Christmas surprises. Next up is a rocking horse, then maybe a toolbox full of small tools.

Very nice - I'd make something like that but my 7 yr old grandaughter wants a smart phone for christmas! I think she'll be disappointed in Santa this year.

What is the price on building one, want a job building one. I have two little one ( Grand daughters ) I just have two much on my schedule already. I saw one in a childrens store here in Grand Rapids ,Michigan a year ago , But the price was out of reach. I would have to ask Mom if they don't already heve one (Made of plastic) from china.
NICE JOB , though !

Very nice. What did you do to get the knobs attached?

Sorry Doug, you're on your own there. This Santa's Helper thing is gonna take every spare minute as it is. I'd bet that someone that knows what they're doing could knock one of these out in less than a day. I was slowed down trying to figure things out as i went along.
I probably have about 75~125 dollars in materials, but it could be done for a lot less. It will depend on what wood you use. This is clear pine and scrap walnut left over from building my bench.
Good luck,
Brian

spunwood,
These knobs were from HD, the hole in the underside was drilled through and countersunk from the outside and a wood screw holds them in place loosely so that they turn.

I'm thinking someone could be up for, "Grandpa of the Year Award!" Very cool gift idea and great craftsmanship. Looks great, I like the sink as well. Make me want kids or grandkids to build them one….LOL

Cool, I wiish I would have made something like this. Instead I bought a cheap plastic that was supposed to stay outside. It never made it outside and now it's an eyesore in my living room.

How cool is that. I love it as I am sure the recipient will be too.
You'd make a great elf except maybe your height would be a bit of an issue I believe!!! :)
