Project Information

Had a good day playing around and cleaning the shop .
Wanted the grandsons to help and thought this may be a fun and quick project that they would enjoy making .
Everybody needs a back scratcher .
Cut up some birch and planed it to about 3/16" and soaked it in hot water for about an hour .
Got out the heat gun and bent these two in no time .
Cut them to shape and a little work filing and sanding .
Put on a leather loop and good to go .
Gave one to my wife and the other to my oldest daughter .
Well got some big thanks for this .

I've met a lot of guys who said to me they wanted to learn woodworking because of the projects they use to do with thier Grand Dad. Sounds like a great day for both of you.

As I was eating my heart healthy salad I was thinking of salad tongs-believe me, these are much better! Great looking and great project to do with your grandson. Congratulations on a day well lived!

At first look I was thinking…... how the heck are you going to eat with those! Then it hit me and my back started to itch! A day spent with a grandchild is a great day! Nice work as always Kiefer!

You have really learned the art of bending Kiefer.
These are lovely gifts and handsome pieces of bentwood craft.

Great design and nicely made Kiefer. I really need one of these, I'm tired of scratching my back on door jams!
