I'm not sure which I like more - the bowl or the photography ;-)) Of course I think that the bowl will win out, since we are a woodworking Forum. Your bowl is awesome, nice job turning it.

Oh… besides using a photo tent. I did use Corel Draw filters on this one. I don't do that very often.

Great-looking bowl. I'll have to try using shellac someday instead of my usual oil finishes.

bobasaurus, no matter what I use for a final finish, I'll always use a blonde shellac as a first coat. Nice thing about shellac is it will work with water base and oil base finish. I think… in my mind… it seals the wood nicely and fairly inexpensively.

Aussiedave, yes, I got very lucky with some really nice cherry burls with some great color.
