Project Information

Needed a case to keep my glue gun and glue sticks.

Made from ¾" Poplar scrap and ¹⁄₈" Birch ply.
A Rare earth magnet (epoxied into the lid) and ringshank nail (in the case) hold it together.
Finished with a spray poly.

Not fancy but functional.

Beats the heck out of my stuff just thrown in a drawer.
One of those are in order.
Makes it way more portable too.
Thanks

This seems a few steps ahead of your box for the heat gun. I like the hinge arrangement better and the magnet is a good idea too. The 45s look good and the top has a solid fit. It would be nice if the dividers were even with the top edge of the bottom of your box. I really like the interior design. It works well. I like that you have a place for all the things you need in one box. You might add corner splines in the next one. Keep boxing and keep posting.

My lovely bride and one of her sisters are complete glue gun / floral addicts. I believe I now HAVE to make a pair of these as gifts for the glue gun fanatics around me! What a great idea!

I think I am going to try out my new 45 degree miter bit and make the same thing tonight.

Thanks for the idea!
