Project Information

My kids had given me a couple of unique Christmas gifts over the last couple of years. Year before last my daughter gave me the engraved hammer and then last year my son brought me the enameled tiger VAW-125 logo when he came in on leave last year from Japan. Both of these items had been stashed on the dresser in the bedroom and I decided they needed to be displayed. The hammer is mounted with some cool hand cut nails I found online and I carved out a recess with the router to mount the emblem. Not much skill required to make this project but it was fun. Got it hung in the kitchen for all to see. Hopefully this will encourage the kids to find more cool stuff for this Christmas…lol

It's great when your kids get you something that coincides with what you enjoy doing. Nice job with the mounting. I received one a couple years ago and mounted it with double stick tape? I like the hand cut nail idea. It is a hammer after all.
