Garden tools
Lathe work.

The past summer I made a few garden tools that I needed.
All from recycle wood.
Using a tool that you made your self do bring an extra smile.
Now I will dream of the summer.

Pictures:
1. A selection of tools.
2. The potter tool in use.
3. Dibber in the ground.
4. Tulip in the ground.
5. Row Maker with hole in top to hold the spear.
6. Row Maker in use.

I hope this could be to some inspiration,

Best thoughts,

MaFe

Nice Mads. I especially like the string spool idea or 'row maker as you call it' I need to make one of those.

And I can't wait to do the moss removal, washing/painting the terrace floor and washing/painting the house and mowing the lawn, and putting new bark into the beds and recutting all the bed edges and…...................well you get the idea. My idea of spring is a bit more negative now that I'm old and decrepit. I would much rather be in my shop breathing sawdust than smelling the daisies. Please don't let my wife know I said this. I am just praying that my grandkids will be desperate for a little extra money this summer.

Even colorfull! They look great, Mads. Nothing more satisfying than using shopmade tools in the garden. Except reading your posts, of course! ;-D

Best,

Serge

Great Mads, wonderful pictures too. The wild onions are sticking up from the grass and the tulips are getting ready to bloom here. These tools will come in handy soon.

Nice work Mads - it is great to make your own tools. I also have a dibber ( is it a dibber or a dibbler)? and a potting tool

JJohnston - the potter tool is to tamp the soil in the pot before adding seeds, then you cover the seeds with another little bit of soil to 'plant' the seeds to the desired depth. I have all kinds of different shaped ones for square pots and round pots - mine are mostly just two pieces of wood glued together, like an ink stamp.
