Project Information

All started in spring, noticed the roof of the old garden shed)Plastic:() had holes in it from hail.
Thought about going out to the coast to get some 6" x 6" Cedar posts to match the other shed in the back yard but new truck with short box may have trouble bringing home 10 footers? So went with 4" x 6" Pt but made the mistake of waiting too long to start, appears wood shortages and 200% price increase has made this a rather expensive little project. 2' x 4" framed inside with 1/2" plywood on the walls with 2" x 6" roof with 3/4" T&G Plywood coated with Deckover. Railing is stained 2" x 4" Pt with Titan Snap 'N Lock Baluster System from Lee Valley.
Received the Grangirls approval except that one of them wants a Slide to get down easier, I was thinking Zip Line?

Original plan was for a climbing wall, but with door size and location, decided against, Wife has requested a lift of some sort, trying to decide, track or rope an pulley?

Nice build. Looks like the kids are having tons of fun.

I was thinking about putting a roof over my large outdoor patio. Now I'm waiting for the wood supply chain to catch up with demand if it ever does.

Looks kinda like an upscale fancy deerstand, with bonus condo amendments.

Sweet!

As for lumber prices and shortages, yeah, I rebuilt a fence and built a shed this year, and OUCH! Over $40 for 7/16" OSB.

Looks very solid, I like the way you resolved all the issues with the hail damage and $$$ lumber prices.

The only thing I think it still needs (aside form the escape route) is shade!

Nice looking shed and should be a good lookout to survey the neighborhood !
Looks like the kids are enjoying it but I don't see a single dovetail .
