Project Information

Here's a garden bench that is made from cedar 2×4's and live edge white oak for the legs. The slab is biscuit joined and glued, the legs are from a tree from our yard that has been down for a while. The legs are attached with 1/2" dowels, I'll see how that holds up and how dry the Oak actually is
It's all finished with linseed oil
Thanks for looking!

Pretty bench, the Cedar looks great and is very durable if the moisture don't affect the glue it should last many a year. Job well done.

Really nice looking garden bench! Should last for years to come. Love your design. I hope the titebond 3 holds up for you over the years.
pottz has a good suggestion about oiling it now and then.

I built a garden gate using pressure treated wood over 4 years ago and used Gorilla glue in the mortise and tendons. It's holding up well…. no separation at all.

Way too nice for your garden, my garden would be better suited!
Outstanding bench … and I don't mean it's oustanding in your garden!
