Showcase cover image for Garage Cabinets

Project Information

My garage cabinets are finally done.. took me 2 and a half months mainly because I had only an hour or 2 on week nights and just a few hours every other weekend.
I still have a few small things to add like the adjustable shelves for the tall portion of the cabinets and magnetic catches..but I'm pooped so that will have to wait. I forgot to take pics before I piled in the stuff- so I apologize for the mess.

Wow! Wonderful project! I love the design to make use of the space. Large doors fitting that well must have been difficult. Congratulations!

Nice job.. I know what you mean about finding the time to get work done. I've been working on a set and it's taking forever.

Those cabinets are really nice. Looks like something out of one of those kitchen remodeling magazines.

Thanks everyone! Yes it was a difficult project with doors that large especially since i wanted a 1/16 gap on everything- ended up with 1/8 on some- and the fact that it is a garage i didnt want to spend a lot on premium wood so i settled for the orange box store quality. i designed it to fit my little tools ( nail guns/compressor, table saw, miter saw, router table) and storage. Large Drawers are up to 150 lb load. Eventually i'll do the otherside of the garage- once my arms heal from the lifting and holding my tools up to install the cabs. : D

Holy cow… Those are impressive! You must have spent hours getting the door gaps just right…

I did spend hours- it got to the point of me laughing maniacally as I was shaving and trimming and sanding and fitting over and over- each. and. every. side. of. every. freaking door…plus I'm a bit OCD so yeah- hours.

Those would look great in the house, never mind the garage.

Nice work.
