I am now taking up about a third of our basement and am still getting used to the extra space but love being able to move around. I think I now have most everything where I want it and am liking the flow. Now I just need a way to finish the ceiling inexpensively and I will be content.

You got some nice tools stashed in there! What's that in the corner under the spilled milk sign?

Now that's a well packed and equipped garage workshop. Thanks for posting the pics.

Do you visit Highland Woodworking in Atlanta?

Under the spilled milk sign is a metal drill press, with a metal lathe next to it. I got them from my grandfather when he passed away, along with the 15" band saw and floor standing drill press. I wanted to get them for future use.

8iowa - I do get to Highland every once in awhile. I am dowtown on Wednesdays, so it is convenient when I need to pick up something.

This is a nice shop that you have to work in. It does look like you have quite a bit going on in there but your shop is pretty well organized. I, personally, like to see pegboard used for organizing and storing hand tools, as you have done. I put the entire front wall of my shop in pegboard. It makes a fairly economical wall covering as well.

You have a nice set of tools to play with as well. I am not sure that you could get any more tools in there but I am sure it would be fun to try. :)

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting your shop.

I gotta say the best part of the shop is the DeWalt. I have 2 myself, a GWI and a 925.
Your MBF looks great. Did you do a restoration?

WOW! beautiful shop. I love that combo lathe and milling machine. I hope one day that I can add on a small section to my shop for a small machine shop - just a small lathe, milling machine, drill press, and horizontal band saw. Thanks for the tour.

No I did not restore it. I actually inherited from my grandfather in this condition.
