That pine turned out really nice. I don't usually like using pine because I always have problems with the finish. But this one is really nice. Did you do anything special besides applying the stain directly on the boards ?

I don't think I did anything special John. I didn't know about raising the grain at the time so it actually has a rough feel to the touch. I think I may have just done two coats of stain on this one; perhaps even just one, I can't really remember. Thanks for your comments.
