Project Information

I got tired of lifting my planer or kneeling on the ground. Time to build a cart.

This is based on the Wood plan with a nod to the Woodsmith "small shops" cart.

The case is made of two layers of 3/4" luan plywood, edged with redwood. I used all scraps for this project except for the steel rod, casters, and eye bolts. Total cost around $20

It took me about two weekends to make this.

I let the drawer overhang the shelf, so that I did not need a handle. I am not sure what to store in the drawer or which tool will reside on the flip side.

It was fun to build, and I can reach the planer, roll it, and a bit more storage too.

Just because you want to see it flip.

Great work!... I bet you could fit a smallish Belt/Disc sander on the other side.

Got this one on my list of things to build. Maybe my planer on one side and the Ringmaster on the other?

Nice project. You could put one of your less used smaller tools on it- bench grinder maybe. Or simply use it as a small work space.

Anyway it is a very useful project.

Now let's put it to use and make something else.

Great Job, with nice design- smaller version would be perfect for bench grinder -

Did you find the height a little high for your planner - would suggest a little short for more stock control?

But it is truly a fit form and functional piece- nice job

I will probably get an OSS at some point and it will find a home there.

Bill. I am not sure what you mean about the height.
